There is one way of breathing that is shameful and constricted.
Then there’s another way: a breath of love that takes you
all the way to infinity.

Bio

Lisa has been teaching mindful practices in New York City for almost 20 years. Her practice and teaching continue to evolve and deepen through her own daily explorations, both on the mat and off, and through continued study with the teachers who inspire her most. Upon completion of the Somatic Yoga Training with Eleanor Criswell and the Teaching Team at the Novato Institute, she began the three-year Hanna Somatic Education program with the same faculty and was certified in 2021. This same year she completed her certification in Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapy with Sundara Yoga. Most recently she completed a certification with the HeartMath Institute in Trauma Sensitive Healthcare. These teachings prepared Lisa to develop class curriculums for oncology, general medical and psychiatric patients, which she has the pleasure of guiding through the Weill Cornell Center for Health and Wellbeing.

Lisa shares her life with her husband Seán and canine friend Finn MacCool.  Off the mat she enjoys being in nature and takes time to nourish body, mind and spirit creating and concocting in the kitchen!
